Completed in 2023, Crothers Construction were engaged to build the new Café & Function Centre at Perth Zoo in South Perth.
The project was delivered as two separate work packages including the demolition of existing site structures, bulk earthworks and services, construction, fit-out and landscaping works.
In the centre of the Zoo grounds, the new café provides a variety of food and beverage options, alfresco dining, as well as Zoo Visitor amenities, in an accessible and convenient location. The new function centre is situated along the western boundary of the Zoo with its own entrance. The facility will cater for events, corporate functions, seminars and weddings.
This work signifies a major milestone in the 20-year Perth Zoo Master Plan and is a once in a generation, long-term redevelopment for Western Australia's State Zoological Park.
